This has happened to many times for me to just dismiss it as purely bad luck or stormy weather.
I'll be playing Demigod, my team will be winning and I'll be in an absolutely great game with some great players, and I'll just out of nowhere get disconnected. The little screen comes up counting the 30 secs, and then I disconnect. I go to check my router, and it is no longer recieving an internet connection. I shit you not, this seems to happen most when I am playing Demigod. This has occured so many times that I got pissed off and worried that it has something to do with Demigod. My stats are suffering as a result and my credibility is going down the drain as well. Is it somehow possible for a game to tie up a router, preventing it from recieving an internet connection or something? I know that when it disconnects me the enemy team knows I am not a ragequitter, as it just so happens to disconnect when I am WINNING... lol EVERYTIME. Gahhh.
Anyways, is there something being sent and/or recieved by the game that is tying up my router and disconnecting me from the internet or something? This has happened a lot while I am playing Demigod. It has happened outside of DG, but not very often. I played a 9 hour TF2 marathon without disconnecting, however, this may be irrelant as it is a client/server game.
Now that I think about it, could be a result of an ISP? If so, I'm screwed. But I doubt this, because Verizon's supposed stance on P2P is of laissez-faire.
I need some more opinions and a possible troubleshoot. Please help, thanks in advance.
