Ive been getting quite a fondness of Rook the last few days, and im trying to optimize my own playstyle with him. I usually follow the Demolition Rook guide.
One thing i noticed early on is that while you may have 10 towers down, only one of them fires (including your own beam). This must mean that each tower is enhanced by others (which is evident by the chaining of towers). But i want to know just how much damage each tower does, and how much an additional tower increases damage. Cause i dont think that they are simply doubling each other, but if there is no modifier at all, then putting down towers near each other simply causes you a disadvantage.
Chaining towers however, provided that there is actually a bonus other than pretty graphics, can allow the Rook to create quite powerfull chains. With (for example) four towers in Cataract, i would be able to place a tower near my bases tower, all the way up to the flag and even further, and chain towers including all my base towers, all my own towers and myself. So this leads to the question, does base towers add more damage than rooks own towers?
Also, i played a game yesterday where the enemy team had two rooks. I can't remember if they did, but if their towers chain together aswell, this could be seriously devastating to anyone unfortunate enough to be caught in the middle. Even if the towers are quite weak, a string of them are good to scare an enemy away, because they will still have to flee through the range of towers again.
Anyways, can anyone shred some light on this?
