Demigod.exe - Entry Point Not Found (Can't Play)

Ok.. I just updated (I also reinstalled.. because I couldn't find anyone to help me with this).  The error says:

Demigod.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point

?CVPGetPlayerData@@YAHKPAU_CVP_PlayerData@@@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library Impulsereactor.dll

 

That is it.. and I can't play.   This happens everytime I run demigod.  I was playing just fine since the beta.

Try to verify the installation of Demigod. Maybe some version mismatch.

I have windows 7.  What I had to do to get this fixed was completely remove demigo.. any and all stardock traces (Including impulse) download everything again and reinstall (believe me.. I tried verifying, I tried redownloading demigod, and nothing worked)

Its actually just a registry error. Demigod can't find it's settings in the registry for some reason. I had the same issue, but I can rectify it easier than most as I had DG installed on another OS too. Just grabbed the reg settings from there and restarted impulse. It needed to verify the files again but it all worked fine

Yes, whereas the beta was hot-pluggable, i.e. so long as you had verification you could just c&p the folder.

It's quite simple. Impulse has a Reg key that knows where the install is. Change that to where you want and you can stick the Folder almost anywhere you want and Impulse will verify it fine. Had to change it so it works across three OS's without needing three installs
