That little portrait showed up while I was waiting for a Skirmish game, and stayed there after I cancelled the wait and went back to the main menu. For what it's worth, I was having problems getting a Skirmish game to successfully connect everyone together, but that happens about half the time anyway, so there's no reason to think that's related.
It's wierd: The portrait is from Sins of a Solar Empire! No idea what the "Templar2k" refers to, though.
