This is clearly a caster items for mana hogs like TB, you say ?
And Blood of the Fallen is the best item, which even I say ?
The Ooze UB build recognizes the weakness of UB, which is his low mana base and his expensive skills, like Bestial Wrath and Foul Grasp. Sure, oozing UBs are very strong, but they sacrifice some powerful asssets in exchange for a boring playstyle.
Essence of Magic allows UB to take all active skills and use them without problems!
Well, let's see what that items does for us in the beginning and what kind of UB profits most from it.
Early Levels
Spit.
Cheap and strong. Great against buildings. But even though it's cheap, UB can't use it continually without additional helmets, thus sacrificing melee power. Two spits and you are out of mana. But with EoM you can spit four times in a row without a break. And since you usually get a break, you'll probably never see UB run out of mana in the early levels!
Spit -> EoM+Spit -> Spit -> Spit
Cooldown for Spit is 7 seconds, which means 210 mana regenerated before the fourth spit. You start with 1302 mana, lose 1000 mana through spit 1&3 and and up with 512 mana, enough for spit 4. At level 1.
Foul Grasp.
Top priority at level 5. And the EoM ability allows you to both spit and grasp for free, if you time it right.
Mid Levels
Spit costs more, but by then your mana pool is larger and your income is still decent even without taking any helmets. The EoM ability allows you to use your skills for free, while regenerating your pool. If you want to increase your mana regeneration rate, then do so. But I found that I didn't need more.
Late Game
A skill i barely ever took before was Bestial Wrath. It sounds great, but it's incredibly expensive and it stops you in your tracks for half a second. But with EoM it's for free and you can even squeeze off a Spit of Foul Grasp in the EoM effect. By this time you need no extra mana items either if you equipped UB for heavy melee. Even though your skills drain your mana pool quite quickly, you can pull them off most of the time when it matters.
And the sweet thing about EoM is that you can use your skills even when your pool is bone dry.
The UB build I used is an Ooze/Spit hybrid, which was a bit harder to play before the discovery of EoM. And Bestial Wrath was nearly impossible to afford earlier.

I focus on Spit and Ooze all the time and squeeze some Inner Beast or Diseased Claws in when possible. Bestial Wrath is my late game pick.
Equipment is about the same as Ooze Builds, emphasizing first life & life regeneration, then armor, then damage.
