Quoting TheScottishAlien,
personly i would really like to see some stealth DG's in the game... add another level of strategy to the game(and mabe an tem for invis as well)
I hate stealth. It does not require any skill, just huge amounts of patience only 12 year old kids can muster to wait for a DG with less than 10% hp to walk past and hitting him once to get a kill. Stealth has ruined WOW PVP as far as I'm concerned. Only attacking weak enemies and only joining in a fight for the last percent of hp to get the kill without really ever helping out. Which would also be the downside of having one in your own team. They don't actually help you out, untill they can get some direct benefit from it while not being at risk. Ofcourse this only goes for PUGs.
-em (Easy mode) where XP and gold income are increases.
/shrug. It should be however obvious before joining a game, so that you don't have to join several games, finding out they want to -em, and look for another one again, rinse and repeat.
Global VOIP (as in listening to you opponents and teammates) without a mute for specific players
Agree. Talking to your opponents would be nice in the lobby, like chat and teamchat sort of. But usually it ends up being an opportunity for attention for the kids..
Reason: next time i play an FPS where some idiot has simpsons quotes blazing over his VOIP i'm going to find him and strangle him with his mouse cord.
I would support you in court
Micro Payments for patches
Reason: Paying for an expansion is fine... or even a map pack here and there... but if you make me pay $1.99 for V 1.X0 i fill just quit right then and there. you can pay for X.00... but nothing lower than that (and that better means new DG's and Maps)
Agree, and payed DLC, what it essentially is, tends to become a reason to release a half assed game, and then having to pay to get it up to version 1.0. In the end you've spent 80 bucks only to realize you only just have all the content the studio promised it would have at retail. Micro payments for other stuff are fine, as long as they are not gamebreaking, meaning that ppl that don't buy it should still be able to play with ppl that do.
Story Mode
Reason: yes the Demigod have cool backstories... yes they it would be interesting to see them on the gam engine... but do NOT make a story mode for this game. this is suppost to be an online RTS/RPG multiplayer game based on popular WC3 custom maps... not a linar story book game. leave the story in the text and maybe a make a movie latter down the line, but no stor mode.
well thats it for my list... probably more stuff that i would not like to see in game but those r the main ones.
Not sure what to say here. I play DG single player and I sort of miss a campaign. Usually it's a good way to be introduced to all playable characters. But the game does not lend itself for a story mode. There's no real story to tell as far as I am concerned. All DGs wanna fight to be ascended, round one.. fight! BUT I am a bit offended by the "it's supposed to be an online (..) game". I play this game however I want, and I want to play it like a single player game. That means for this game they only need good AI, which is reasonably simple enough. And what exactly is your reason for this to be left out? Just don't click on the single player button, and problem solved right?
What I don't want to be added is all sorts of mods which dumb down the game. Like lots of timers and statistics on your enemy. You are not supposed to know all the stats of your enemy just as much as he knows them. If you know all the items and skills he chose before you even come head to head, half the battle is already fought, and becomes an 'if x then y' game, which I think removes all the fun of the game. If you attack someone and he gets you down with a powerful spit, then you know how to respond differently next time. Also, having a timer for every little thing in the game dumbs it all down.
