I'm having problems with Demigod and having problems figuring out what the problem may be. Quick specs:
Vista 64 business
6GB RAM
GeForce GTX 285
All patches/updates applied
For some reason, I will randomly be playing a game and everything will absolutely freeze. This is not the same freeze as when you kill a citadel and things eventually come back. I'll be playing and the game, ventrillo, everything will stop responding to the point that I need to hit the reset button. The weird thing is that it will play fine for a day or two, then all of a sudden one evening it will crash at some point during almost every match played....usually doesn't happen right away, but 10-120 minutes into a match. I've tried everything that I can think of to remedy this, including:
- Updating video drivers
- Killing all non-essential or non-related processes (namely google updates/steam, A/V, etc.)
- Checking heat issues (took off case to run a fan)
- Played several other games/demos (e.g. 3DMark, TF2, Crysis demo, etc.) on a regular basis and all of those seem to work just fine.
I thought there might be some kind of a dump/log/debug file that may be able to shed a little light on things? I'm not sure. It's just frustrating to be playing and having fun with your friend when all of a sudden your game crashes. Not only does it screw you, but everyone else playing now has a "tainted" game since the AI takes over. If anyone has any insight, suggestions, or questions, please let me know as I'm not sure what else to look for here.
