Macros For Demigod

I've read some post that people say Voice in Demigod is important. Maybe, but I'm hoping for something in between having to type everything during the heat of the battle and having a kid scream profanities. I'm hoping SD, GPG, or a modder will make some very simple macros to communicate during the game.

Just a few like "Out of Mana"; "Reatreat"; "Fall Back"; "Push" and "Going to Store" would be great. Being able to just hit one button really fast to communicate could really make a difference.

These would need some kind of individualistic wait times too. Because some people are not sufficiently advanced enough to understand that text is usually seen on the first time and thus they keep hitting the button over and over, thus spamming. And obviously they would be preset phrases, since if you give people the chance to macro their own stuff, then i fear someone would think of some bad things. Otherwise, great idea.

it wouldn't even have to be text. Small icons like (+) for heal or an empty blue pot for oom, bullseye on the opponent to focus on, etc..

Yes Ke5trel, I play WoW; I play a priest; god help me if I had to actually type things, especially "OOM" in the middle of battles. The WoW macros just lets me click on the "-" button, and it tells everyone in a split second. Things like that would sure be useful in Demigod.

Course, if they impliment Bman's mod (or simular), you could just "see" I'm out of mana.

I think macro is a good idea for demigod as not all player use vent i use to play wow as a holy pally & i use to make macro with oom to let ppl know i m out of mana as well as things like mt assist mob stun etc.

After dealing with a player saying the "N-word" and describing the size/shape of his penis, I'm not really looking forward to using a voice chat to comminicate; A couple Marcos would be plenty for most people I think.

I'd love to see something akin to WoW's marking system as well. For example, I can mark an opponent with a skull (a little floating marker above their head that only my team can see) to let my teammates know that is who I am attacking.

Hey Lord, I never thought about that. Yes. A team leader, and target icons. Hey any modders out there (or SD/GPG), how about if someone does a ping (P key is pretty much a macros already) and that player has an enemy DG targeted, it puts an X or skull on it, to mark it for your team. Kind'a like what Ke5 already mentioned.
