Question on Regulus' Deadeye

i am not sure if this skill is usefull or not but when you say 3% chance to stop an enemy DEAD in their tracks, do you mean dead literally then what is the purpose of the .3 stun then if the enemy is dead?

3% chance to a 0.3 seconds stun on a living DG.

No, it's not literal. It's just a 3% chance to stun that is added on to his AA and Snipe. Deadeye by itself won't kill anything if it activates.

Also, it's not usefull.

that is very misleading then to describe it as "3% chance to stopping his enemy DEAD in their tracks". the use of word dead should not be in the description then. I thought it was usefull enough to kill an enemy instantly(no matter how how high the dg health is) even with a 3% chance and since its a level 15 skill it make sense right? you dont want to have a 10% chance of stopping an enemy dead because itll be overpowered.

sigh, thatll still be usefull if i have a %3 chance to annihilate an enemy specially if its applied in auto attack and my dg have a lot of attack speed.

"Stopped dead" is a fairly well known phrase, as is "in their tracks", for example one of Torchbearer's lines is "I will freeze them in their tracks." "Stopped dead in their tracks" is just as easy to comprehend. I can't see anyone else making that mistake.

Also even a 1% chance to one-shot an enemy with an AA would be overpowered. Especially on a Demigod like Regulus who is already annoying

It works on Auto attack and on Snipe. It's not a bad skills when fighting demigod that are spamming abilities as you can randomly counter abilities with it and technically you have no other counters. If you've got alot of attack speed increasing gear then it makes sense to blow a late point on it. 

I'd still take a point in stats first.

well yeah "Stopped dead" phrase makes sense, but im trying to find a logic of why putting it as an advance skill for Reg if it only does .3 second stun in 3% chance which does not make sense. i dont know if Stardock put some thought into this. its a level 15 skill!! its hard to accept it has no use!

Actually that tactic is currently available. If you have many %chance-crit items, they stack. If they all go on the same attack, you can get several thousand damage in one hit, often head-shotting your unlucky victim.

like Ashkandor, Slayers's Wraps and Duelist's Cuirass stacking. only thing is its very expensive. back on the deadeye issue i think Stardock should fix this in its patch.

10% for Ashkandor, 10% for Slayer's Wraps, 5% for cuirass.  Getting just Ashy and Wraps is 1 in 100, not too bad, for an 8x Crit, but not a 1 shot by any means. (2000 damage is a lot, but only probably a third of someone's total health, maybe less, if artifacts are in play).

Cuirass puts it at 1 in 2000, but also only increases the damage to 12x.  A very small comparative increase for amazingly lower odds.

in actuall game play though you are aiming for the cumulative damage of the X Crit so its still not bad.

That was my point. The only way you're going to have any real chance of oneshotting someone is with a 12x crit. Even then, the chance of doing so is extremely low, you need a 18000 artifact, and even with all that you're not doing much more than 3k damage or so.
