PROBLEM: Persistent "death whisper" bug

I have a SBLive! and an Nvidia chipset ASUS motherboard.

If I die, the screen goes grey and you hear the 'death whisper' sound that runs until you respawn. The problem is, if I quit a game, SP or MP, during this period, the death whisper is persistent and never goes away. At all. Starting a new game, turning the sound off and on, replaying and dying to reset the whisper, nothing except quitting to windows will stop the death whisper.

Yes I get this too. Would love to hear a solution.

 

If the game ends while Im dead I have to restart DG, most annoying.

Not only that, but when it happens, most Sound Effects dissapear in that game and any future ones til you restart demigod
