So, I have to admit, I'm a bit puzzled about why everyone is so upset about this one. Sure it is annoying and should be fixed, however if the bug is caused by people intentionally, then they were going to quit anyway. The only difference between them quitting or creating an invalid gamestate is how the game is recorded in your stats.
Do your stats matter that much?
Really?
Does your enjoyment of a game really depend on how someone records it?
For veteran players, I don't think it matters as much. For up and coming players, I think it matters quite a bit.
1) you can't save a replay anymore; this hurts players who want to record/track their performance and learn from others.
2) i bought a favor item that one match, then it invalid game stated. Since it failed, I didn't have that favor item anymore, but I thought I did.
So I bought another item. I realized that I no longer had my first favor item, but by now I did not have enough points. yeah no big deal but it is still a nuisance.
3) without a replay game, you might not remember the names of your great allies that you enjoyed playing with. or the culprit.
4) stats can get you alienated from PUGs
I'd be happy if it just let me save my replays. The favor item thing can slide, but it is an annoyance all in all.
Again, for veterans who already have more than enough favor points to buy all their useful items and don't really need to watch replays, it is moot.
