Ok so my gripe is that there are pages and pages of users in the Pantheon rankings that have played zero games and have a high rank, relatively. I see, myself included, many, many players ranked 20K-30K some of which have really good % ratio's and some are very good players, but they are ranked lower then someone with no games at all.
And when i say someone, i really mean someones, pages, i mean pages...somewhere in the area of 800 pages of folks that have not played a game (this epoch anyway).
So why the high rank? Experience right?
Their exp is 1000. Others ranked lower have 945 or 785 or 905 (me).
Ok...why. I understand the concept of gaining more exp when beating someone ranked higher than vs not gaining so much against those ranked lower, but i fail to understand the reasons as to why someone who has played no games get 1000 exp.
Should not that formula, whatever it may be, for deciding the ranking be applied after at least 1 game has been played.
I'd be happy for this to be explained to me better, but please understand, i cannot see how someone who has played no games can be more experienced than someone who has played over 100, regardless of losses or opponent level.
There are something like 16,000 ranked players who have never played a game that due to ranking system enjoy higher ranks then many folks that have played 100 games or more....
Am i the only one that thinks this is odd?
Please enlighten me.
