Fire Torch Bearer Autoattack Bug - When is it going to be fixed???

This issue is starting to be really annoying. This bug exists since the game came out about 5 months ago. i think 5 months is more then enough time to fix a minor issue like this.

People (and alot of them) reported about this issue as a bug in numerous thread posts.

When discussing balance suggestions for the next patch this issue also came up with the conclusion it must be resolved.

The developers are aware of the bug.

Damnit, pacov event went out of his way to find the errors in the .LUA file and suggest a fix. Link: https://forums.joeuser.com/359551/page/2/#replies

So why isn't this fixed yet??? Is it so much to ask to get a developer to dedicate one day to fix this issue?

On the GPG forums a developer commented that they were aware of the issue and the fix, and that to finish the fix a new animation was needed. Thus, as I understand it, GPG is current making a new animation for it, and that is the hold up.

It's not a bug, but an intended balance feature. That's why they have to create an animation for it, because there never was one. My suspicion is they didn't want TB kiting with a fireball nuke. They must've thought that would be OP.

I have to say... I was playing a game the other day and whilst I recognize TB might be a tad strong if he could AA whilst moving, I came up against a regulus and after getting edged out and needing to retreat he followed, whilst moving and AAing and continued to WTFPWN me on the run...

I really do fail to see how TB shouldn't be allowed to AA on the run with range like that, when regulus can do exactly the same thing, kiting with snipe and mines in a similar fashion as you can with fireball.  I know they aren't the exact same thing, but the similarities are too hard to ignore, seems like an inconsistency to me.

Well, the only thing that MIGHT make it OP would be the speed he has with aura maxed.  But frankly, I don't think it would be that much of a problem.  I hope they do add the needed animation and enable him to auto-attack, but I honestly don't know what's going to be done... on one hand it sounded like work was being done, on the other, its not a bug.  So, I guess we wait and see.

Since the Torch Bearer has the second lowest win/loss ratio and he's not being used in any of the better teams I know, I think this "buff" would be a balance improvement.

Agreed. It's not like TB is a tier 1 demigod atm. But this balance improvement could put him up there. Now we need to buff Queen

 

edit: Isn't she also bug-ridden? They should really should be addressing that before any balancing.

If Fire TB gets fire on the move I am going to jizz in my pants and than proceed to annihilate everyone....

So in other words I hope this bug, imo, is fixed.
