Pantheon matchup service needs tweaking

This is probably obvious to anyone who has played DG. The matchup service will say "8 players waiting", then promptly load up with 1 player and all AI on one team and all human on other team.

I, like everyone else I've seen, promptly drops. People tell me: "custom game!". I know that is AN answer, but I generally just jump on, want a random game or two and then that's it. Sitting in a custom game forever just to get it going isn't appealing most of the time.

I'd rather just NOT get a game, than go through 5 "Oh, 3 AI on my team... quit" in a row. Just have it say "Not enough players, go pound dirt" and I'll be happier than the way it is now.

On a side note, why does DG have such a small following? Company of Heroes has more people in it and it's stale, out of money, and just plain imbalanced as hell after several years. DG is great, fairly balanced with focus on teamwork, and lots of ways to win the map. Graphics and music are top notch.

When I queue up for Pantheon I usually have http://www.demigodthegame.com/opengames.asp up also to see who is in queue. As a result I rarely have this issue.

If it looks like I'll end up in a 3vs 1 + 2 ais, I leave queue and let the 3 playesr on the other side play versus 3 ais. Or I wait till someone else shows up on my side before joining the queue.

When there is 3 light versus 2 dark in queue or vice versa you usually get a 2vs2.

Stardock should simply remove the AI from Pantheon and Skirmish (and bring back Skirmish). If they don't want to remove it completely they should at least remove uneven match ups. I don't understand why they haven't done so yet. Absolutely no one likes to play in such a game, neither new players nor experienced players. Neither the side that is fully human nor the side that is with AIs. People will always leave such games and I bet everyone would rather wait longer than having to load the game, realize that it's with AIs, then quit again and go into the queue again.

The 8 players could be 7 light 1 dark, 6 light 2 dark, 5 light 3 dark etc. If there is only 1 player on one of the sides, the matchmaking will either set up a 1 + ai vs 1+ai or multiple players versus 1 + ai.

Argh, for the 7 vs 1 thing, I debated on writing that out, but figured people would get my point. Even if it's 7 dark vs 1 light, it could do a 1v1 or a 2v2 (with ai on both sides), instead of 4v1(w/AI). That's what I meant.
