Patience.   We're six months in, and we've had significant updates to the game already.  I can think of quite a few games that had serious issues, and some of them were fixed by a patch that came out a year after development, and then they slipped into obscurity.

patience ... something i used to have for this game. The development process of this game really needs to speed up.
Demigod is now competing with HoN and If demigods process isnt sped up, much of the player base will switch to HoN without a doubt. Which would be very unfortunate to those very loyal to demigod (such as myself).

all demigods do NOT suffer this. Every character except for QoT is rather well balanced and playable and have their purpose in the game. A lot of people will say "qot is different, you just gotta know how to use her", but theyre wrong. And alot of it IS coz of her skills tree but not only that, her stats are just inferior to every other demigod in game atm. People who think they know how to use her are in denial and are just looking for unecessary excuses that make out she can be equal to another demigod "if used in the right way". but through all the threads made on the qot issue, majority of the people argue that she is undeniable useless atm.

look at the facts and figures about her. Qot is the least used character, suggesting everything i mentioned in my post above. The few that do use her are those that are wasting their time in trying to find the most effective way to use her.

do urself and everyone else a favor, and stop sticking up for an underused/underpowered character.

well average game last about 4-8 months = for demigod time is almost up, especially when u see so strong competition (HoN LoL).

Queen got really a lot uses. a really lot uses.. The thing most of people tend to do wrong with her is tanking and fighting in front. Thats not her use. Look she can shield everyone, even have freakin 5 shields running. She can slow enemy. She  can reduce armor of enemy. She can heal herself (by comsuming minons). The only thing she is missing in my opinion is stun or interupt. Then she would as good assoult god as UB or OAK. right now she is about same lvl with sedna=great support, little fighting power.

And best of all she is a general and minion build is quite good compared to oaks and sednas. Not as good as ereb coz he gets his ones for free

gkirt i know u are a very good player but i am suprised by your opinion. The only thing they should remove is a freakin useless lvl 15 tribute skill.

Ohh btw have you notice how long it takes now to get 3v3 or 4v4 going? that says something too. Oh well this is not Pay to Play game so it is obvius it will eventually die and developers will loose intrest in it

I wish things would update faster too, but I'm sure things will speed up once they get all their features that were missing into the game. v1.2 will help a lot then there will be Clan Wars. I'm pretty sure after Clan Wars they'll have so much time and man power that balance/item changes will happen much more frequently. Not to mention additional items being added.

Actually, the worst aspect of Demigod are the people who play it. Hands down. The game all by itself is a gem.

Imho that is exactly the one role she's best at. It's just that almost nobody plays her this style (closed mode only; Shield&Mulch) because it's micromanagement intensive and "not fun".

I used to play QoT for the majority of my games and also argued that she wasn't too bad. Then I played Sedna and realized that even if QoT isn't terrible, she's much worse.  QoT can hold the line well with a minion build, but her low attack and spells make it very hard for her to ever assassinate a decent player.  Sedna on the other hand is not only more of a tank, but she has team faster HP regeneration, runs fast, and can easily interrupt spells.

QoT+ cloak of night = win .

However... shamblers sucks...they really are just walking potions. Her only redeeming quality from other generals is her long range attack imo. If shamblers were fixed and working? would they be useful?

Balance change frequency/frequent miscellaneous minor updates should be very easy to deliver with impulse and the like.

I just thought with such an easy distribution network for patches, constant minor hotfixes/mini-updates would be the norm.

Are big major patches the way to handle this genre?

Lol future patches... I have a feeling this will be our last patch.

Just to clarify, 1.2 is coming out.  Eta = unknown/unannounced.  Here's the gist as I understand it.  Take a list of things that are to be included in 1.2.  Send that list to GPG.  GPG creates builds that include some of those fixes/enhancements.  SD puts those builds through QA.  QA tells GPG there is an issue with blank.  GPG revises.  Creates new build.  Sends to SD... and so on.  I think that's how this goes from what I've read.  If you KNOW differently, please chime in.

1.2 WILL NOT have the new demigods in it.  Presumably some other version will. 

1.2 and the 2 new Demigods are seperate. That doenst effect when either 1.2 or the Demigods will be released. They could come out before 1.2 or after.
