Well, there's this valley (this story is a little 6-year-old, but it does have a point), where all of the citizens of the valley carry around sacks on their backs. In these sacks, are "warm fuzzies", that they give out every time someone else does something nice. In return for giving a warm fuzzy, they are given one back, so everybody has the same amount. However, one day, a resident of the mountain comes by... a mean resident. A local to the valley gives him a warm fuzzy, as they've just met, but the Mountain resident gives him a cold prickly in return, and skulks away. Eventually, everybody runs out of warm fuzzies, and is left with nothing but cold pricklies... and thus, the happy valley people aren't happy anymore. The End.
Kinda corny, but the point is, if you reward people for doing well, anything, eventually you'll run out of rewards for ppl who derserve awards, AND the value of the award will become dirt.
I would give you karma, but you made me type up a long story.
