Patch 1.2: Horn of Battle time for effect increased from 10 seconds to 25 seconds.

Dear Frogboy please have GPG remove this change! I have said it before and I think most of the experienced players will agree that Horn of Battle is already very useful as it is if properly used. Minion Erebus with HoB is extremely powerful and 10 seconds of near immortality for Nightwalkers is more than enough! You can easily take down a tower.

I assume the cooldown of 45 seconds for HoB hasn't been changed. This means that Erebus' minions are basically unkillable for most Demigods. 25 seconds will not only be enough time to attack a demigod defending a tower but to chase him away and destroy the tower. Only Rook, Regulus and Torchbearer have a chance to kill Erebus minions under the influence of HoB.

I'm afraid this change will make Erebus an unstoppable force and he can just take down one tower after another because his minions are untouchable for more than half of the time!

Please test this change against an experienced minion Erebus player and you will see what I mean. Thanks.

if hob was so overpowered why so few take it? what's the purpose of the item if you cannot use it to tear down towers? if it gets enrfed to not allow ereb doing this anymore then why should i give up 800 hp, or 15% seepd for a minion buff that's not enough? i rarly see one using it in the past except in 1on1.

the ONLY thing that was "oeverpowered" (so to speak) was that ereb could tear down towers while being miles away, thus no possibility to hinder him doing this. and even then there where quite some options left to do so.

but i would agree that in 1on1 the item is somewhat overpowered.

edit: but as i already said, i am not sure if it will be now useless. it' still up to be seen. i just fear it now. we will see how many players will chose it after this change. actually i would think that after they tested it a bit no one would take it in 3vs3 anymore.

No CelMare you are 100% wrong on this. HoB will still be capable of destroying towers pretty quick. Just NOT while a demigod is there to protect the tower. Is it fair when i get a No AoE demigod like Sedna, and a minion HoB erebus destroy the tower while I AM THERE TO PROTECT IT, and HE is elsewhere? Or he could just stand in the flag being safe, or he can destroy the tower along with his minions, or he can go to shop while doing it.

Have u ever played HoB erebus? I have. And i assure u that if played right, It pretty much destroys every tower in a Map like Cataract.

It was OP. No question about that. Invulnerable minions for 10 seconds is just unfair. If it will be balanced now, remains to be seen. I cant know for sure if it is OP or UP if i cant test it yet. The patch will be out soon.

sure it is if you don't attack the weaker erebus. attack the erebus not the minions. an hob minion erebus at the lavel we are talking about ahs no chance against any other demigod.

hence as i said the only problem is that the erebus can be miles away from his minions.

the item is totally useless if a demigod can protect the tower by destroying the minoins because there is ALLWAYS a protecting demigod. i would never take this item again if i cannot do really heavy dmg, nearly destroying the tower even though an opponent is sitting next to the tower. this is allways the case.

considering what i have to give up for this tool it seems worthless to me. for the rare situations i can attack a totally unprotected tower it wuold not be worth taking HoB over BotF.

but again, it is yet to be seen if this change really allows you to kill the minions fast enough.

edit: obviously it is a question! and i am not the only one wondering why HoB in the current status is called op.

CelMare is probably the most strong opinion player in demigod. Nothing i will say will convince you so i will stop this.

HoB is OP to me, and to many other players.

Destroying a tower while a demigod is there to protect it is NOT supposed to happen.

I rest my case.

Yes beasts with hp stacking and sigils are OP too.

Nothing beats a good beast in 1v1. Nothing. Not even minion erebus.

I can beat a lot of Beasts in a 1 v 1!! Game

You have to get them down early and in most 1 v 1 games they don't get a priest from a general so most generals can push a beast around early game. But you have to keep pressure on if you let him control game your screwed.

With the new update, it will be difficult to beat a UB in 1v1 with HoB erebus.

But even before the update, i think if a beast player was really good you wouldnt be able to beat him.
