First off, I want to just say how well thought Demigod really is, not just gameplay but from a design point of view.
One that strikes an interest in me, is the demigod's skilsets. The way how all are relevant to each other like good synergy. Far too many games I've seen have their heroes with interesting yet typical skills, just a bunch of mismatched power-ups.
In Demigods, their skillsets are tailored towards particular niches/archetypes. But the true beauty is where their effects are'multiplicative' than simply 'additive'. Different combinations simply enhance these existing 'niches' into various forms, adapting to different strategies in real-time.
This may become irrelevant once the modding tools come up, but I think the best demigod ideas are those that introduce more of these unique 'niches'. Well, unique as in new, refreshing twists, from typical fantasy archetypes we see today.
Enough nonsense talk, I'm here just to let off some creative steam....and loving it.
