Sorry if I was rude, but trust me, for what it is Demigod is pretty darn good. DotA has had hundreds of patches and updates, and it can still be glitchy as all hell. I dunno what it is, but it's the exact same thing with Demigod. And by the way, when I said GPG have updated Supreme Commander a lot, I was referring to your post that they are an incompetent developer (which just isn't true).
demigod is on the same (bug-)level as stalker 1 or armed assault 2.
Uhh if you have that many issues with the game, I think it's your computer. I have played unpatched Demigod on quite a few computers, and patched Demigod on mine; there is a world of difference, but the bug levels are no where near Stalker's. A couple of facts; 1. Demigod runs on the exact same engine as Supreme Commander, just heavily updated (or so they say). 2. For quite a lot of people, Demigod is bug-free. 3. For quite a lot of people as well, Demigod can be buggy as all hell. 4. Some games just have tonnes of issues with certain computers. 5. Honestly, if you are serious about having as many bugs as a Stalker game (for Demigod) then I don't think it is necessarily the game at all. And 6. Lots of developers work on two games at once, and GPG isn't exactly a small developer.
GPG are pouring a lot of effort into Demigod, and they will for sometime; obviously though, they will not make that much money if all they do is use money to update/add stuff to the game. This is why developers tend to start making a game before they even start patching the first one they are producing. They actually do have the capability to do it, and just ebcause you might have a lot of issues with the game and people on the forums say they do doesn't mean diddly. Think about it; only 23% or so of people who bought the game went on multiplayer, and it's only that 23% (maybe less, maybe a bit more) that openly say stuff in the forums which means there is likely a tonne of people who don't have issues with the game. Thena gain, we just don't know. This immediately invalidates your post, because you are obviously angry that the game is buggy for you or someone you know; that never means most other people have the same issues. So please, actually think through the stuff about Demigod; for what it is, consider us all lucky that GPG constantly works to fix all the issues.
Just a question....if you have the game, have you patched it? Wouldn't that fix some of your issues? If it doesn't, then there is something really wrong with your computer, or your issues aren't exactly ones that can be fixed by a patch. GPG have done a tripe load of patches and fixes, so assuming that just because people you see still have issues doesn't mean that GPG can't handle this. Patches take time, and time is money.
Again, sorry if I was rude. If you want, post me your computer specs and elaborate on what issues you have and I'll go over them for you, and go to Stardock's support for help. Complaining a lot about the stuff doesn't help anyone; if you tell us your problems, someone might help you fix it; you never know until you try. Again, sorry if I have ticked you off with my post, but I just thought I should...you know....talk.
