It's actually not my primary reason to play. Seeing you skip fire aura and not use sigils wouldn't be worth it unless I'm on the other team.

I've used Sigil probably 3 times total and seem to do alright. And still top 15 in wins with my Fire TB build. I must be doing okay.

I know who I'm talking too and since the sarcasm in my original post was completely lost on him, I decided to take him for a ride, since the post went completely over his head.

As a Fire TB, I've found Sigil's to be useless since I'm more for support than anything. And since I rarely die without using them in the first place, I'd rather spend my money on teleports, locks and upgrades.

You made a pretty long thread explaining how you repeatedly do something that makes absolutely no sense (stats vs. fire aura), you keep citing games played as an indicator of skill (is Prussian-Havoc the best Regulus ever? By your 'logic' he is); pretty much every ridiculous thing you say is going to be taken at face value.

We've been over this. You can do all sorts of stupid shit and still win. It doesn't mean that what you're doing is right, and the fact that you might lose a game doesn't mean you did the wrong thing either.

Kalel used to win consistently with a build that, inexplicably, only leveled Ooze up to rank 2. I inevitably die in the first two minutes of the game literally more than 50% of the time. That doesn't mean those are good things to do.

It doesn't make sense, it just appeals to you, which is fine. Do whatever is fun.

It makes perfect sense if you play Fire TB the way I do. The Fire TB you insist upon, requires that TB be at your other Demigod's side at all times in order for the aura to be effective. However, the way I use Fire TB, I do much better alone, taking care of creeps and towers, then occasionally assisting in a kill. Thus, the reason why building my stats are more important than building aura, early game.

I know it does, but I don't need to sprint away that often when taking out towers or creeps early game. And rarely am I taking on DG's 1on1 because I know I'm still squishy.

hehe.  The first time I saw Kalel's beast build after replays came out, I about pooped myself.  Crazy build.  I think he still has a few crazies, but nothing like before.  And he is still quite good

Outright disabling them would make the game nigh unplayable, there's just too much damage for it.

A compelling line of reasoning for picking up 200 mana and health. Those intense creep battles really necessitate it.

I won't really put up too much of a fight regarding this, but I do disagree.  It would force people to fight differently.  It would cause players to use the variety of potions avaiable instead of the 1 logical goto item.  I wish we had the flexibily to disable items globaly on the fly.  Even if it was just for a week.. turn off sigils.  Or disable Botf.  Sounds like interesting panth options anyway... but i don't think the backbone is in place for changes like that on the fly... at least without requiring a new build.

I disagree, it would force players to use one potion: the fast-cast artifact potion, there would be no more variety than there currently is. The strongest characters spam interrupts, it'll almost always be a crapshoot on trying to use one with a real cast time when you've gotta keep track of grasp, mass charm, and penitence, for example. Then you even have extreme examples like TB and Sedna who can spec for double interrupts (well, only one true interrupt, but the silence/stun will buy time for pounce or their partners' cooldowns to refresh).

You have to spend money to make money when it comes to getting kills against good players. I think a consumable which serves the same purpose as sigil (artifact healing potion) becoming the go-to consumable just makes it harder for players to make comebacks and doesn't really improve the variety or skill level.

Now maybe I'm wrong and you'd see more gadgets, but I think gadgets are already perfectly viable, and they're primarily useful because when you're healing teammates you have a built-in form of interrupt protection. I don't know of a fair and fun way to add that to potions.

Like I've said before... Sigil should become a favor.

It is so rediculous late game against a good UB with BotS who health stacks and carries potions with ooze.

If you manage to 2on1 him to actually threaten to kill him, victory can be snatched away with an ooze suicide when the sigil ends. That is the epic unhappy face.

This is why sigil is wrong. less than 1000people playing demigod,, its ghost town.

Never saw lobby with more than 10 waiting rooms

Well, I think our incessant noob-kicking has more to do with the low playercount than anything else. I'm pretty sure all online games tend this way: The good players stick around, the casual/mediocre/noobs just leave because the good ones aren't any fun.
