promote the 'lesser dgs'

i propose ppl start hosting more games with 'no ub/ereb' in title..might add oak to that 

i feel that whenever opposing team has ub/ereb/oak and our team doesnt, we are at a serious disadvantage and thereby obligated to pick aforementioned dg for our team. all else being equal no way is a tb going to fill ub's shoes.

playing tb and reg is fun. but they are never going to beat a team with an ub in it, unless you are nubstomping

That's a good idea actually.  Maybe i can play Reg on cataract again this way. 

I've done something similar before: hosted a couple 'no ereb' games on Crucible largely to avoid the warp-behind-your-portal-cap-portal-batswarm-out trick.

Really some of the dgs need a buff.  You don't deny that do you?  There is a reason anyone good plays with 3 or 4 DGs when there are 8 (or now 10).

Only problem is about 5 games latter you will be thinking that sedna should be added to that list (she only looses to those 3 on the list) and then a few games more the other two generals will also be considered and then DA will look pretty overpowered and then tb generally beats reg and reg beets rook (yay we are back to only 3 demigods).

Well that is a massive ammout of theory crafting and exaggeration but where do you draw the line, they are not suddenly ballanced after you remove those demigods.

Ballance in demigod is really hard and loosing is no fun, so no one good at the game really wants to change things much.

Yeah. But still... maybe a limit on the amount of good melee demigods?

 

Also polynominal stfu. Show those replays before you claim anything please.

I've POOPED on UB plenty of times as TB. Just gotta be careful the first 5 lvls is all.

I "POOPED"on you with Ub too. But some personal anecdotes say nothing, numbers we need! And numbers tell UB is fucking OP.

The only time you played me, you were Oak and your partner was Erebus. You did pwn us, but to be fair my UB friend was pretty eh. 

But I'm not saying every time I play against UB I destroy him, I'm just saying TB isnt as weak as people say.

Edit: The only DG I consistently have issues with as TB is a good Oak. Shield and Pent cancel out a LOT of dmg.

Edit2: The only change I really want for UB is half the range of spit.

Hehe. I havnt played in like 3 months or so. I just recently picked DG back up. No replays from back then

I think it would be nice to have Assassin-only games. An Assassin team isn't really viable at the moment. (With one possible exception)

Just play for fun.  If you want to give the weaker demigods a try but don't want to lose games, only play with those demigods when the teams are stacked in your favor.  You can also give the weaker demigods a try when the both teams are mixed with different skilled players, in which case you can feed off the weaker players and avoid the stronger ones.  If the strongest opponent is UB though, make sure you're a good support demigod or your teammates will get plowed.

Ironically enough making such games would make choosing Rook useless as TB and Reg are 2 DGs that are actually decent against the Rook. The Rook can easily take the top 4 however. Of course playing no UB/erb games are fun

A list- Oak, UB, Erebus

B List - Rook, Sedna, TB

C List - Regulus, QoT

3 vs 3 for fun game? Each team must have 1 member from each list.

4vs 4 for fun game? 1xA, 2xB, 1xC

C list - QoT

 

Just kidding!  I would be totally down for more minus Oak, UB, Erebus games.  Perhaps when the new DG is released, a nerfing will finally come to the three mentioned above.  I'll be honest, too.  Whenever I see a team of just UB, LE, Sedna, and/ or Oak, I try to steer clear....just too OP.

Whatever floats your boat, but right now Rook, TB, Oak, Erebus, and Sedna are all viable given the right setup. I've been doing a lot of Oak+TB lately and the burst is amazing and the stacked team speed buffs are ridiculous.

Rook crushes TB/Reg/QoT unless he's outnumbered, btw. You'll need to remove him from the list too if you actually get someone good in control of him.

Any interrupt DG in the hands of a good player and good player 2on1s can cause a problem for Rook, that's why I put him on the B list.

Slow speed, low armor and easy interrupts... notice something about the A lists skills?

All countered by the capacity for teammates to teleport to him at any given moment. Rook is a class A DG. He pushes harder than any other DG, he does the most total DPS when his towers are built up, and he has an extremely reliable AoE stun.

Also for DA i think that it is entirely dependent on your teamates ability to do burst damage. If they suck you suck if they are good you are good.

Oh yeah, keep queen on C alright with me.

 

I think we can all agree that UB/Erebus/Oak are Tier I(A) demigods and should be avoided, but demigods like rook and sedna are harder to pinpoint. As is DA.

I choose him constantly over those characters. He's a good anchor and counters UB especially well.

uh huh but you know how to play him... most people don't even with 100+ games (not that it matters anymore) so they feed and die and lose and call him terrible because for them he is
