Hello.

This is an interesting post. I was in a lobby today and someone came in flaming saying that we were drop hackers. I was sure he was making up a story due our limited activity in this game recently. I couldn't help but check it out and sure enough I found our names in this thread's title.

We are completly unaware of any way that can prevent a game from being shown or recorded. I believe dshepherd simply leaves the game and I almost always use the concede option. We always leave the game once it is apparent that we can not win the match. If the game doesn't give you a win, you need to report such an issue to technical support because this is completely out of our hands.

Pacov, I can assure you that dshepherd and I do not try to trash games. We are legit players.

Microstar, I used to play using Calvin as my alias. Your name does sound familier to me as well. I believe we may have played Ground Control II years ago when there was an active community for it.

There is a diffrence between conceding and hitting end game button after ur citadel gets destroyed but before showing victory screen. 1. Explain to me why your friend didnt concede even after you left the game and he was playin 2v1? 2. I rejoin ur lobby after that game and asked what happened. you didnt even bother to respond. I went thru 3 pages in game list of dshepherd. All games he lost he was disconecting before end of game. Obviusly hopping that it wont count. From waht i remember u both were at 70 or 80% win rate before stats reset but you serriusly dont have skills to keep that win percantage without cheats

As I have already mentioned, we leave the game when we know the game is lost, not when the citidel is destroyed.

Since he and I have played around 200 games together, I really don't know what game or games you are talking about. I can tell you this though, he almost always leaves before I do. Leaving the game allows you to quickly leave the game while concede allows a forfiet win where you can still gain your favor points. Leaving the game is always a quicker option. Like I have said, if this is reporting inaccurate results, you need to contact technical support because this is clearly out of our hands.

dshepherd and I have been playing games together for about 10 years and one thing that we have learned is that if we respond to people who attack us or seem to be leading to something that could lead to an aimless arguement, we almost never respond because it isn't worth our time to argue with people online in a game. Feel free to look at our play history and look how limited our play time has been recently. We obviously don't play it enough to be experts, nor do we claim to be.

As I have said, we are legit players and we are not attempting to trash any games that we play, we simply leave if we feel we can no longer stand a chance at winning. After checking dshepherds history, he may leave but nearly every game on the list counts as a win or lose. The only grey games I am seeing are password games or less that 5 min games.

aitdfantasmo - I think there's a pretty simple solution to this that I'd hope you'd agree to. You state that you are legit players and are not attempting to trash any games that you play. Due to the unfortunate way demigod handles exits in 2v2's, it is possible to cause a loss to not show up. You can resolve this by simply having both yourself and your teammate concede from the game. The game will show up as a loss for your team and a win for the other team. So, if you are willing to get do that yourself and have your friend do that as well, then that's that. Stardock is aware of these issues (a form of the host disconnect exploit), but has not resolved them completely. So, you are now aware that tech support has been notified of the issue and that you can actually avoid triggering it simply by conceding with your teammate.

Belier and Apika were 2 individuals that chose to use the host disconnect exploit and trigger desyncs on the basis that an exploit existed and they had no issues with using it. I believe they indicated that they would "keep doing this and there was nothing that anyone could do to stop them." And that so long as SD didn't fix the issue, they'd continue on in their behavior. After all, what they were able to do, while some might consider it cheating and unfair, was possible in Demigod. They were banned from the game.

Anyway, please understand that I have no issue at all with you not wanting to watch as your citadel is destroyed. I, too, don't feel a huge need to play a game to 100% completion. I'd simply ask that in the very specific instance of a 2v2 game where you are playing with your buddy, that you'd both concede if you feel the game is over rather than ending the game.

Of course, its your call how you want to handle this, so do as you will, but I'd think that as you are legit players and are not attempting to trash any games, it would be an easy decision.

I will discuss this with my partner about both of us using the concede option since it seems to be an issue. The only thing that concerns me is that you say it is a "host" disconnect exploit. I always host the game for us and I almost always use the concede option.

I generally try not to go into the details of how to trigger exploits on the forums. Simply stated though, in a 2v2 game, if both players concede and don't hit end game, the exploit is NOT triggered.
