Well if your opponents use large pots which take like 2s to cast in battle, don't use sigils and don't skill grasp at level 5, it's just too easy. Nice laning btw.

 

I agree with your skill choices, but I think BotS is a better favor item choice.

Is that sarcasm? I agree with obs-, I mean HorseStrangler, that BotS is a better overall favor item.

What would you have in place of that helmet o.0?  Haulbruk of Life?  It is 200 less hp, and you dont get the bigger mana pool that plenors crown gives you.  I stand by BoTF for UB.  It gives me the extra hp i need in the beginning to hold off a lane against anyone solo and usualy kill them.  I also dont have to add in casting a favor item to get mana into my micro of abilities and items.  The only thing BoTS does better is in the beginning you can use spit more freely.  I will play against any BoTS ub anytime in a balanced 3v3 game and will always come out ahead.

The point was that it's not 800 extra HP. Also it's kind of silly to say that Plenor gives a bigger mana pool when the blade gives you an effectively infinite one.Again, I don't really agree with this either. You can only spit four times, that's it. So assuming the other team doesn't just stand in melee range until you kill them (after you've already gotten an item/level advantage no less, no idea what they were thinking in that replay) the blade becomes more useful.That's kind of an impossible challenge. I have one person I play with consistently. I've also got a replay of myself beating Manreal/Wicked with UB, but it doesn't prove that the way in which we beat them is the only effective one, and nor would me beating you or vice versa prove anything.

I'm still up for a game, but again, win or lose, I'm not going to start using BotF and I doubt you'll start using BotS.

The thing is with Blood and the extra hp it gives me early game I usualy get a lot of kills giving my team the advantage with citadel upgrades and me the advantage with all the armor i need =/.  Which happens every single game.  Just if I get no kills until like lvl 11 against a BoTS UB there might be a problem, but that has never happened with my build.

 

And i also always have the level advantage on any UB bcuz i force them to go back to citadel early to regen =/.  I see your point very late game if I get no kills but until that happens BoTF is better because the whole pt of UB is to get kills not harras ppl with spit.

If we're going off of experience, I've beaten BotF UBs regularly. I think that player skill has a lot more to do with it than specific builds, so it might not matter too much overall which one players decide to pick.

 

I've been toying around with a permamist minion erebus build, and it's insane.

BotS is better for mana burst and staying in lane, but if they pressure you really hard you will have trouble with your low health in the beginning.

Yeah, I usually have trouble holding a lane from levels 1-4, but by level 7 I can usually equal any other DG. I usually buy scalemail and banded armor for my starting items.

 

If you want to be a mediocre UB listen to obscenitor im done.

I'd always say that Scalemail is good... but then again, early game I guess it isn't since AA damage is such a minimal amount of damage you take compared to skills.

Basically, if you go BotF, I wouldn't get more than 2 points in Spit. Just one point in spit is basically useless, 2 points gives you decent +dps while not forcing you to get a second helm and therefore lose out on HP.

If you go BotF, you pretty much need to go true-blue Ooze. Sure, "stats suck". But the fact of the matter is that a true-blue Ooze does not need to go home unless he needs to shop, which is typicaly level 7 or 8 for me. Assuming monks of course. Sigil spamming is also huge for BotF since you have the extra hp from Stats and BotF and the increased healing from monks. It comes out to easily 2k hp between the regen, the extra hp and the sigil-hp on top of that. Which negates at least a spit and a half.

A true-BotS beast doesn't need to shop either, since you have all the mana and hp you need. A helm'd hybrid needs to go shop, losing levels. Also, they are dependent on kills/gold/feeds since they are expensive builds since they have to stack hp and mana at the same time.

But you know, whatever.
