I have a problem with Impulse, when I go to create an account the game minimizes and the impulse create account page pops up.  When I enter ANY information there and try to create my account it instantly says "cannot connect to server."  This problem is under review by Impulse but the lovely people get to have a nice 2 week christmas break before they answer my question...

So, is there ANY way I can update my game outside of impulse?

On another note, I run windows 7, with no firewall and no proxy, and working internet.  Can anyone help me get the connection working?  I assume I have either A) a virus/malware blocking new programs on my computer, or some wierd Windows 7 setting blocking the game (and the new firefox update >.<).

If this is something related, it may help.  While searching for an answer to the problem, I found a link where a person posted a direct link to a website (server? I dont know, cant remember) affiliated with the game.  I could not access that link and got the "server not responding error in IE.  Ideas?
