Minion Ai Scripts

Has anyone done any editing/creating for new minion ai scripts? As far as i can tell GPG have avoided this with all minions in the game by adding auras to units for skills. However, i have managed to add rook and reg (actually credit for reg goes to mr rappard and zechio) as summonable minions and i would like to give them some skills (or maybe add skills to later minion types) but i am not sure how the ai is activated or if this is possible. I will have a play around with the code today but if anyone has done this already it would be a great help.

im pretty sure you wouldve known this alrdy but maybe it'll be something similar to the priest abilities (for its heal) code?

yere some of my abilities for minions work in a similar way to the priests.

ie.

Add aura ability.

Function : onability pulse

find someone to heal

heal them

add cooldown buff


However, i cant give them a targeted ability. The minions have no way to select a target or use an area ability (other than a passive one like the aura's). I want to give my mini rook a hammer slam ability. But i need an ai script for the selection criteria, work out how to add it to the minion and then i have to work out how to plug it into demigod so that it matches the right minion. More than a little overwhelmed lol!

if anyone can do even one of these it would be a great help.

lol ... well not sure id be much of a help with this one. I was having troubles trying to give existing favor items a "use" function and still havent figured it out as of yet so i just gave them weapon proc effects (i managed to figure that one out hehe). 

btw, if you got any time can u just skim through my items balance thread (maybe reply in the one in the ideas section). Its a long list so try not to fall asleep lol.

lol sure . if you want help just ask. zechio has an ftp up that we can use to pass around mods if you want to just make a folder (i assume its ok with zechio?) and upload your stuff and so i can work on the same version you have. Also for onuse functions just let me know if you want help with them (i got them pretty down pat now lol, they are a main feature of my favormod)

Well, I believe one way you can get around it is to give them a secondary weapon with a long reload rate. The other way to do it would be to essentiall give them a limited version of the demigods AI AI. However, given how many of them there are at a time, I'm not sure you would gain that much for as much processor and memory overhead it would require.

Well, Rapidshare is giving me problems ( as it tends to do...ugh. ) However, if you would like to, you can use an FTP account I set up for demigod on my server. This way, you and everyone else can have unlimited high speed access.

You just need an FTP client ( such as FileZilla: http://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client )

The host is: ftp.imperiuminferi.com

Username: demigodftp@imperiuminferi.com

Password: DemigodRocks!

( The D and R are capitalized )

The folder you're accessing is http://www.imperiuminferi.com/demigodftp

So, if you upload your mod file "Favormod1_5.rar" without adding a folder, the link to the file would simply be:

http://www.imperiuminferi.com/demigodftp/Favormod1_5.rar

although, you might want to create a folder for your own projects:)

I'll try to keep an eye on the ftp account/etc. and if anyone starts to abuse it, I'll pull it and just give out individual FTP accounts to people I feel I can trust a bit. If you see anything crazy going on, like someone changing your files without your permission, let me know.

Anyways, as soon as I can get the download to work so I can see what you have so far, I will see what I can do. Until then, I guess I'm off to continue work on that bone yaw problem and see if we can get the holy idol working perfectly!

yes lol, done rook and reg (reg was mr rappards and zechios achievement with some fixes i added)

however, these units will have a very limited skill capacity/arsenal.

i have tried qot, she is difficult due to the way that her auto attack works.See what i can do tho

I would love to offer my help, but as you've probably noticed..I haven't been able to give DG much time of late. I still haven't even tried looking for a fix to the exploit I had found early dec. or so:(
