Have been watching this with interest!
Age of Wonders 2 and its expansion shadow magic were really well done! Hope this game can upstage it!! =D

I'd recommend pre-ordering this week so you can get in on the beta next week at the next opening.
It does have some AoW likeness, although it is pretty different in a number of ways. I'm hoping they take a few more AoW ideas myself because they were phenominal games.`
It's hard to match the charm of AoW, I think. Something about hearing those little goblin yelps, or the orc grunts, or sprite... tiddles?
Elemental is shaping up to have its very own charm, though
Yeah but this does match A.O.W pretty well as a successor its also a better successor to heroes 3 then 4 and 5 were.
Also its a pretty good successor to M.O.M
I see this as a successor to Master of Magic which came before AOW. Master of Magic was a Civilization-type game and I think it was better than AOW.
