That's the exact reason I hate starcraft.
The reason they have to do that is because of a horrible interface. Starcraft 2 had people bitching about being able to set waypoints for workers to immediate go mine after being made, for being able to select unlimited units, for workers to automatically distribute to mineral patches, etc.
The community is retarded because they want the game to be harder for the wrong reasons.
SupCom is a fantastic example of how an interface for a present day game should work. You don't need to click 1,000 times a minute to get shit done because of all the automation, leaving the player open to spend his time doing things that matter, rather then stupid mundane tasks that artificially make the game harder.
