Simply put, you didn't strike a killing blow and I do not know why. Trust me I was there.
At the 18:00 mark, you had WS8 and we had WS5. Between the three of you, you had enough money to get priests, angels and cats in maybe a minute.
At the 20:00 mark, both you and Kiamori have gone in, but upgraded equipment instead of buying creeps.
At 21:00 Angus heads in, buys equipment. You now have WS 9
At 23:00 You are at our portal but we lock it, but no creeps. Almost at WS 10
At 24:00, a full 6 minutes after getting WS 8, Angus buys priests. You're at WS 10, we're still at WS 7
at 25:00, Kiamori buys angels. We are STILL at WS 7
at 26:00 You rush our portal, but your entire team gets wiped out. A big fight on the right side leads to a stalemate, but we held all the flags for the duration of the battle. By the end we've jumped ahead to WS 9.
At the 29:00 mark, you've had over WS 8 for ELEVEN MINUTES and you bring out catapults.
At the 30:00 mark, we've reach WS 10 as well. At this point, you're better equipped, but we've outleveled you. It's now an even game if we can get creeps out.
At the 31:00 mark, you get giants out. We're still behind in money and I make the decision to NOT buy creeps and buy Journeyman's boots instead. With my healing and the speed of the boots, I know I can walk back and forth past your citadel between your portals with little effort. My goal is to make you port back home and give us some breathing room. By the time you port in to one of your portals, I'm hoping I can run to the other one before you TPs cool down.
32:00 and Kia and Angus take the bait, Orion gets killed while they chase me back and forth
33:00 and all your teleports are either gone or on cool down, I cap a portal and lock it.
35:30. Lord and Kia make a run for one of our portals, while Angus is recapping the one we had capped for 2:30. Lord and Kia get ganked, The money is immediately converted into cats and giants. The game is completely even. I wear you down backdooring for the rest of the game and Bartek's shield keeps things locked. Eventually we cap both your portals and the game ends
So there it is. You were at WS 8 for an amazing eight minutes before us, never brought cats out. You were at WS 10 for six minutes before us and yet never brought out giants. At any time, any of you could have ended the game by bringing creeps in and crushing the center. To our credit, we never gave up the fight, although my backdoor adventure was a desperation move. All I wanted to do was take some heat off us, because I knew we had no money. But that was only possible because I was given time to get the money for Journeyman's.
