"Why didn't I win?" ask Mr. Kerry, the billionaire, "Ask George."
This answer at first strikes one as a bit cynnical, but let it sink in for a minute or two and you'll realize how much the country has lost in Kerry's loss. If you are one of the millions of us that thought we'd be attending a J.F.K. inaugaration this January, take comfort in the fact that George Bush (it is no longer thought neccessary or cool to use the 'W' ) has been forced into (some say 'tricked' into) carrying out nearly every thing that Kerry said he would accomplish in his,'W's' (I mean George's) next four years at the helm. Thus began the interview by John Forbes Kerry about his new book, "I Actually Did Vote For George Bush" (Doubleday).
"I mean really, think about it." laughed Kerry, " he's f---ed if he tries to do anything other than the agenda I laid out for the country. He does all the work and I get all the credit, just like I planned. I'll laugh all the way to bank, so to speak'
Mr. Kerry went on to speak about the 'new politics' of 'faking- out' one's opponent into thinking they won when in actuality they lost. What happened to the to the republicans is really nothing new according to the upbeat 'loser' of the presidential race.
"Look at how Churchill got Hitler to attack France. Look at D-Day...in France! There is much more to 'Geo-Politics' than you're going to hear on the local networks. That's why these poor folks upset about my 'loss' need to wake up and smell the 'victory' that took place on Nov.2nd. If I really wanted the WhiteHouse would I have picked Edwards? I mean we couldn't have been more obvious.. but when you are dealing with clowns as thick as the Bushes you need to be exactly that."
Our dialogue ended abruptly at that point as Teresa appeared and sent us on our way. We took her going on about the dock being private property as one of her jokes and left-off at that point. We all agreed that we felt better about things and that perhaps we were a little rushed to judgement about the election. Four more years..? Okay. Four more years of who? Think about it. "
