The short version goes like this: I really like Green-One (the Nice One), I'm neutral towards Black-One (the Silent One), and I really don't like Red-One/Pangea/Cassiopeia/Archon (the Smartass One). That said, my opinion on their skill and team coordination is quite high, and I'd really love to see them in our tourneys. However, I must admit I experience a severe communication barrier in this case.
I can understand Polish quite well, they all can communicate in English to a degree, and Red-One reads/writes good English (unless he goes into his parrot mode, on which see below), so the barrier is not a purely linguistic one. Every time I've complimented the guys on their skill and asked them to join the tourney, I got mocking replies in mock English from the Smartass One, e. g.: "You pro, we noob. You bigger than we. Only pro do tourney." While this is marginally passable for a one-time joke (still a mauvais tone , of course), the guy answered me in this manner about 10 times.
Moreover, Green-One, who was initially well-disposed towards the idea of participation (he told me it's a good idea and they are thinking about it) has gone into the same annoying pseudo-modest mode under Red-One's influence. Please note I never provoked the guys by saying they lack skill, etc. I've even played a game - totally unbalanced in their favor - to make sure my evaluation of their skill level is correct (since the first match I played against that team was a total stomp led by Zen_God). All they have ever heard from me were complimentary remarks.
So... I'm a bit stuck here, I guess. Can anyone help me out by trying to communicate with the guys? They can still sign up for this tourney, and if not -- I'd like to see them registering for the next one in March.
