Alpha phase nearly done

We're getting near the end of the alpha phase which means there won't be more builds up after this next one for awhile.

The reason is that we have to start incorporating the new features in and that means tearing up the code for awhile so it won't be in a useable state for several weeks while we start integrating the actual features.

I wanted to thank you guys for all your help. We've learned a lot and you'll all be amongst the first to see the pre-beta builds when it'll actually be a game rather than an engine test.

We will also provide you guys with previews of the cut scenes and all that as well.

I look forward to the final build of this phase. Will you still be using this website to update on the implementation of new features? I would love to add comments/suggestion to the various features as you're adding them (yes I know this can be done in the pre-beta).

Yep. In fact, in the next few days (I hope) you'll begin to see the website start to expand. And of course, you will get updates on what we're doing.

I'm very excited to start actually turning this into a game now!

Cool, I finaly got my account back to work (seti@home probs). So I'll be playing this last build again. Looking forward to the pre-beta's :)

I can easily understand your excitement, Brad. Having been working on it for years and years, seing it come to life must be an incredible experience..

I think I speak for everybody, when I say that we all wish you and Stardock the best of luck and succes with making this game choice of the year 2003 :)

Thanks so much for your kind words. We'll be posting and responding to stuff and we still have another build to put together for you before the alpha phase is complete.
