4Z- no planet view after colonizing with an "event(?)"

Just started playing with 4Z.

I colonized a planet and had the "moral-effecting underwater creature event(???Sorry forgot what it's called???)." After I selected one of the choices, the screen did switched to the galaxy view and not the planet view so I could select my build orders.
