GalCiv Delayed until March 25

As a passionate Gamer I never ever ever thought I would vote for a delay to a release date! I must be going barmy :d

Enough already. Release it. Now everyone who doesn't feel like waiting a month will buy moo3. Gamers aren't exactly what you call patient...they'll buy the first thing they see on the shelves. Then in a month they'll still be playing moo and won't feel like buying a 2nd game. You could have fought moo3 handily at retail. Now you'll be picking up their scraps.

The decision is already made. Only another slip by MOO3 could change it, but all those in the know seem to think the slip can't happen. Not being in the know, and being a bit of a sceptic, I think the possibility still exists. If MOO3 slips again I just hope Brad is prepared to change to a Feb 25 ship date again.

Jack I thing they are committed to teh delay now. I get the impression the 1.01 list has been dusted off and is being implemented

yeah and the only way a slip can happen is if IG's warehouses or plant is destroyed.. but if that happens then GalCiv will slip too as IG is also the distributor of GalCiv.

Quicksilver sat on the gold annoucement for sometime (possibly up to a week) IG is delaying the release for MOO3, cause they are releasing Unreal 2 next tuesday (This is my belief, i don't really know, but i'm 98% sure of it) Beit either they don't have warehouse space, or they don't want two of their products to compete for the one game a month buyers.

Yes Razgon but what about us poor sob's who aren't in the beta and desperately need a fix. :-) LOL

Mb while I agree that GC could compete with MOO3 I don't think they will pick up scraps. Then maybe it is my ADD but in a month I will be ready for something new.

Lucky Jack according to the MOO guys it is gold so doubt there will be a slip,,,,, unless there is an alien invasion, world war, or attack against the warehous. LOL
