Sweet. I'll have to dl it when I get home and check it out...

I must say, just in the time I've been a BT I've seen this game progress quite nicely. Well done :).

Brad,
You fixed the Win98 performance issue at startup. The doors open smoothly now.
There is still a problem with the event movies. The 1st colony movie is better. I can see the video now, but the sound is still breaking up. Also the sound when I "speak to" the AIs is breaking up as well.

Brad,

Tks for the update :d

Here some quick notes & feedback :

Cosmetic
---------
After startup when selecting load civilization and pressing cancel leaves part of the dialog box on the screen.

Game Play
---------
During gameplay, select a ship with moves left, click somewhere on the screen to check where to send it to.
In order to go back to the ship i use the find button but this does not work, it only works after selection another ship.

Noticed several crashes to desktop during play when clicking on ships, no error message just boom and desktop appears.

hlesser, what's your hardware/software config?

Fixed the cosmetic thing last night after the build went up.

When the thing with the find button happened, did you have any other ships with moves left that were not on autopilot or in orbit?

If you want to re-center on your ship, hit the C key or click on the logo on the ship data window.

Also, I was able to improve performance on the mini cutscenes after the build went up last night. It's still not great on Windows ME, but the sound wasn't skipping or anything like it had been before.

Cut scenes and sound still the same on my XP machine. Certainly tolerable but far from smooth. The mouse also becomes sluggish when they are played. I still get that awful static popping as well.

I have noticed that after a UP vote to make anomalies territirially owned that one of my research vessels set on autosurvey started to get a message comming up repeatedly 'only survey vessels can explore anomalies - I remember seeing this before in a much earlier beta but not recently. I had selected the option switching of anomaly pop-up's

Brad,
It's Win98SE, AMD K7 600MHz, DirectX8.1.

I played the movies using the Bink Player and they're great!! I just want to see them in all of their glory from within the game. ;)

I've sent a Transport into a Drengin sector that has several stars, 2 have Drengin colonies, and parked it between the 2 populated stars. I've waited and waited and waited and waited...and nothings happened (:(
