First I saw it on gamespot but didn't pay too much attention to it since I was looking for to moo3 more (this was a month or more ago). After the release of moo3, I was reading the apolyton moo3 forums (seeing as many people were disjusted with the game). I contributed my rants and saw what other people were talking about :P They also had a galciv forum there and that's when I really looked into it.

I'd read some news briefs on Bluesnews.com but I never paid it much attention. I go there daily.

What *really* got me hooked, though, was Brad's "Game Example #4" post on quartertothree.com forums.

US shoot-em-up guys with the Oc'ed athlon and radeon 9700pro, with 512meg case 2 mem ,getting 300fps in quake 3 like the occasional intellectual game.

read about it at Tom's Hardware actually..
seems strange to hear about it at a tech site, but

Heard of GalCiv's excellence on OS/2 long long before.

Saw its ad recently but thought it's another junk.

Then, after I decided NOT to buy MOO3 I found the informaion about GalCiv in MOO3 official forum and suddenly realized that it is just the name of the game I knew almost 8 years ago!

LOL

Heard from it a long time ago (probably OS/2 days) when I was still playing Civ I. Then I lost track of the game and thought the project had been aborted (never used OS/2).

A few months ago I saw the game on tothegame.com. I started to get really interested when MOO3 came out and the AI turned out to be crap. Read a preview about the intelligent AI and finally started heading here. If the AI is anything close to what Brad and the previews say, this game will hold my attention for a long, long time.

I was reading a MOO3 thread in a webcomic forum (oddly enough, it was a Positive thread :notsure: ), and one of the dissenters mentioned GalCiv... curious, I clicked the link... :CONGRAT:

I actually considered buying OS/2 because of it, I never got a chance to play it, but a friend of mine couldn't stop talking about it.

I first heard of it in the ad that came in the MOO3 box, and decided to check into when there was an ad on gamespot.com for GalCiv about two or three weeks ago.
