Galactic Civilizations

I am hoping this game will meet my expectations. The interface looks simple and intuitive. That is good. Is there a right click help popup like there was in MOO2? Speaking of MOO, I have MOO3 and have been tinkering with it. I like some aspects of the game, but that interface is a bear. That is the only thing that has kept me from playing it more. Well, that and I am waiting on the patch. In any case, I very well may purchase GalCiv. It looks quite interesting, I just wish the star map was a little bigger (or had the option to view it that way) like in the MOO series. Otherwise the screenshots all look good to me. Thanks for reading and please feel free to comment as you will.

You must remember NOT to compare Moo series and GalCiv, GalCiv is more "civilization in space"
And I agree, doesnt it look great!! LOL

Oh, yes, I understand that. I will likely play both GalCiv and MOO3 (IF I have time!). In fact, I still have MOO2 installed on my PC as well. I still like it more than MOO3 at this point. GalCiv looks and sounds like a great game. The only thing I might miss is the tactical ship combat, but the strategic combat ala Civilization worked in that series so why not this? I heard there will or is an external ship editor for GalCiv so I am not worried that there is no ship design in game. At any rate, I am not looking for a MOO clone and I hope that GalCiv is its own game. That is the only way to go.

As far as this goes, there's a button on the planet list, and a hotkey that's always available, to switch the main screen with a tactical display (which is a magnified copy of the minimap).
