I'd like the mini-map to have...

from Stardock Forums
- the ability to center on a ship like you can do on the main map
- the ability to stay at scale when it centers
- slightly larger zoom buttons
- a slightly lighter shade of blue to show Terran cultural influence (I don't remember it being so hard to differentiate in the OS/2 version)

AND I'd like to have a clock in one of the lower corners, sort of like the one on this forum page. That way I can look at every hour or so and say to myself, "I am an idiot... I should save the game and stop playing... I should go to bed... I should have something to eat today... Frogboy is the devil..."

I'd like to add 1 more mini-map item:
mini / max buttons like the os/2 version had.
the zoom is nice but sometimes, I need to study the big picture!

-also slightly paler grid lines on the mini map that blend into space a bit more and allow the objects and terrain to stand out.

if you have a finger wheel on your mouse you can use that to zoom in and out in the mini-map, was a nice surprise.
