New Stardock Central

If you have SDC RC 1 already, if you exit it and reload it it should auto update to a new version that (in theory) fixes most of the issues we've seen reported. You can tell if it's the new build by going to help->about and it says build 3.

My just auto-updated SDC says it's V0.99c.147 and not build 3. Is this the "latest and greatest"?

Sorry to say but this one is craching more that build 1:( Had a crash when I was in the chat room and right clicked on a persons name, and I had a crash when I accidentlly scrolled my mouse wheel. Just letting ya know.

I have finally got the core game & bonus pack going (hooray!)

I d/ling the multimedia, and have only had one time out or error so far (87mbs downloaded)

Is changing SDC versions in the middle of a d/l going to create any issues?

How come bonus pack 1.0 shows up to download on sdc but not 1.01? I have build 3. ver 1.0 is only about 700KB.

Worked great. Logged on, updated and told me it needed to restart for the changes to take effect.

Each module has its own version number. The BonusPak is 1.0. The core game is 1.01. Hope that hleps.

Brad,

For starters, I was griping about Stardock Central last nite and as it turns out my complaints were totally unjustified... a case of not having the game yet, being tired from a day's work and wanting desperately to PLAY the game LOL

Now that I've got the hang of SC, I think it is a brilliant idea... absolutely fantastic to be able to TAB back and forth between downloads, the Forum, news, etc. Some of the concepts you have created (SC... the metaverse... DLs with a registered Serial number) are masterstrokes...

I haven't been this excited about a game since CivI and before that -- Seven Cities of Gold (the original Buntzen creation, not the crappy update). And to think, we have a year's worth of updates to look forward to... WooHoo! This game should do wonders for my budget as my perpetual search for that next great gaming fix seems to have been satisfied by the discovery of GalCivs. :D

One quick question... is the manual available for DL any different than the manual which came in the retail box?

Out of curiousity, any ETA on another Bonus Pak... not trying to be greedy or anything, but this game is so damn good, I want more! LOL
