You do know that it's not mutually exclusive. You can have a private forum at the Core as well as your own site. Sometimes Evil is not particularly bright. ;p

I of course mean your bruce lee or Tishiro characters....I would never ask someone to move their main char. Loyalty does mean alot us even though we are evil.

It is not looking good over at Eamped guys....i will look into a new forum site..shame is though we will have to start all over again.

Are we all happy to do it all over again or give Eamped a bit of time to see if they get their act together?

It is a shame eamped crapped out and now their admin(s) seems to of went into hiding. It won't be a week till Tuesday I think. That would also give them a couple of more business days to try to sort it out.

Made up some ground on my game this weekend, hope to be popping out a pretty good score within a week.

Being Sunday, I think we should give them a little more time. There was an admin on today, but he didn't post anything. Not good, but at least there was some sign of life.

The original nameservers are responding to pings. The host site (and of course, the support site) also responds to pings. I take that to mean they're working on getting everything back up. When I tried to get into the Tyranny yesterday, it gave me some mysql errors. That's a good sign, since that means they're trying to access the database. It's also evidence that the nameservers are ok, even if they're keeping them offline for now.

I asked eamped about the hardware life signs, but no response came. I also saw you in there asking for information and a backup. I didn't say Hi, since I wasn't sure if you wanted to stay anonymous there. I'm hoping that we hear something tomorrow. If not, we might need to count our losses and move on.

Well Toshiro is my MVL character and right now he's in the MVL Empire but I could move him. Bruce Lee is just reserving that character name, can't believe that no one took him before, but I have no idea of when or if I'll ever get a chance to post a game there.

However the Gerontocracy asked me for a secondary character first and in all honesty these days I feel far more affinity to age than evil, perhaps because I'm just that much closer to finding out if there really is a hell or not.

But basically I'm an all or nothing kind of guy. The MVL is a different type of thing and having a dedicated character for that makes sense but to have a serious character in another empire, is just something that I feel funny about, I feel it dilutes my attention. I have no issue with others having multiple characters in multiple empires, but with how slowly I play diluting my attention is really not the way to go.

I hope no one takes any offense, I truly do support the ToE and the Gerontocracy, the Kzinti, the Hitchhikers, AI and many others but I can't join them all and I don't want to show favoritism between any of them. I like to think that I have many friends in many different empires. I also think that it's good to have a good teammate but it's even better to have a good opponent. I like to think that I'm a worthy opponent and that competing against me and the Diplomats brings at least as much honor to ToE (hopefully more) than if I were just another member.

It's not the destination that is the goal. It's the journey itself that is the true goal.

Well Mumble, if you want to truly be suportive of all the empires, you are going to have to buy a few more serial numbers so you can have one character in every empire. Then you have to make sure you post a mega-score for each one!

Seriously though, your support for the GalCiv2, the MV, MVL, etc etc, is a great asset to the game and this site. It's very much appreciated.

on a totally random note, i feel kinda good. i was just browsing the mod library out of boredom/inability to focus at work. a few months ago i uploaded a ship pack mod of designs inspired by star trek's federation. i might be reading this incorrectly, but it appears my mod's been downloaded over 9,000 times. that made me feel pretty cool about myself.
