Opera Mini Beta 4 Released

http://www.operamini.com/beta/
I have received a few e-mails over the past couple of weeks telling me the Opera Mini Beta 4 will arrive soon.  Well today is that day, and if you have an internet capable phone, then this is something you should try out.  Unfortunately when I went to download it this morning, it apparently does not work with my Motorola Q.

Some of the new features of Opera Mini are:
  • dynamically changes the size of text and images to make it convenient to read
  • virtual mouse to make it easy to scroll in any direction
  • Scroll faster using the keypad
More information can be found at the opera mini web site.  You can download Opera Mini right from your phone, just go to http://mini.opera.com/download and follow the directions.

I'll have to give it a try over the weekend. The earlier versions couldn't compare with plain old IE on my Cingular 2125, not to mention I suffered several lock-ups which required me to pull the battery to exit/turn off.

ID, since you have a Q, did you update anything since purchase?
The first few versions of OS/Firmware was anything but stable.

I'll see if this turns out good, I'll get a HTC Touch instead of the RAZR2.

No, I didn't because mine has the latest firmware.
