Sorry to bring this up but,

this forum is horrible, I created a new post on the research costs and times, and the post disappeared for a while, I thought it might be my browser but I refreshed it many times but no topic, so I created another post, only for my first topic to re appear, also the forum seems to take ages in updating new posts, and replies, seems there is a lag in this place, its annoying not able to delete your own posts, and not able to edit and delete your first new topic, to be honest with you, Im really not keen on this forum at all,

I agree its horrible slow, and i think, thats why you had your first problem, where you couldnt see the "research costs and times" post, as the database havent had time to update it.
I have had the same thing happen to me.

We can only hope, it will get better, sooner rather then later

Anyone else notice the the banner at the bottom (the city) loads at the top of the page before moving to the bottom, or is that just me?

not really noticed that, but sometimes the forum does take ages to process a new topic or reply, but accessing the forum first time seems to be ok for me,


but I think I see what you mean, it does jump when posting a reply, and the screen refreshes

when I load the page it loves to get to 98-99% and then just hang.... forever, a refresh sometimes posts my reply, other times it just disappears...

let it wait, even if it takes about 5min to post, then just open another tab to browse around with, until its finished posting..

Well thats what i do, oh and i ALWAYS copy my text, to be on the safe side. I dont wanna try (again) and write a 15min post (im not to fast a writer), and if the post fails to (errm) post? i would loss it all.

The 'recent posts' lists are cached and update every few minutes, so things will not always appear on them instantly. This is because the same forum software and database server/s are used across all Stardock forums.

Not using cached data would be a fire hazard to the datacenter, with the amount of traffic from all the sites combined...

Also, a problem that has recently presented itself to me, when we insert links in posts, they don't stand out, they need to be yellow again.
