Hey, at least we don't have whore unions in the US... a few countries in europe let them have "sex worker" unions... because hopping up and down on a guy's genitals and saying "oh yeah" is work. They set minimum wages for sex workers... safe working condition regulations... When she's done hopping up an down you can get a receit that you can hand to your accountant. I don't know if that deductible... There are a few towns in the US that have legalized prostitution. All of them are in the state of Nevada... but with that exception I think we probably have the strongest anti prostitution laws of any first world country.

True Karmashock, many of our laws don't quite match our society. *RANT WARNING* For instance, why the hell do we have the highest drinking age of any country on Earth? 18 year olds can die for their country, sign contracts, vote, smoke, have legal consentual sex, run for public office (though not at the national level), and be prosecuted as an adult. In every other way, 18 year olds in America are considered adults. So why do you have to wait until you're 21 to drink alcohol? That is just plain stupid *END RANT*. So anyways, have a nice day everyone!   

the difference is that alchohol is a legalized neurotoxin, I think its more than justified in having a lengthier prohibition on it, especially considering that everyone drinks alcohol.

When drinking was at 18 we had a very high rate of dui in the 18-21 age range as well as many other problems... Alas the few idiots ruined it for the rest of ya... The drinking age was 18 when I was 18. I support lowering it back to 18

The differance is that our constitution has amendments that both repealed and then allowed alcohol.

And plus that is a stupid reason. Having it at 21 doesnt stop teens from drinking. Plus, its not like anyone 21 or over is particullarly more intelligent, or can make better decisions.

They do the fuctions of a union without the wage negotiation (you can't negotiate wages for an illegel activity) so in word they are not a union that is correct.. Can we agree that minus the wage negotiations the perform the same fuctions as other unions? (being they are trying to get laws changed that would create changes in the work enviroment etc?)

Minor correction, final stage of neural development is 18-25 not 18-21 and some development continues upto about 29....

we know that laws do not stop people from engaging in certan behaviors but it does attach a cost to it.
