Earth, A class 49 planet!

What a bit of luck I have had on the game I'm playing right now. I got the random event that changes a planet to class 35 right on Earth. Apply soil enhancers and Habit upgardes to get up to class 41. Finaly shell out the bucks on terraforming to change it to 49! :D

The number of ground troops it would require to conquer that planet... *shudder*. Exactly how many billion people live there now?

When I started a game I found a nearby planet named Caesar with a STARTING value of 26! Talk about Eden!

SOme of the very end techs also add +10% planet quality each, so that class 49 will eventually go to class 56!

That class 35 Earth, at max terraforming, can reach class 91, if you picked the Planet Quality +15% ability during the game setup (class 85, IIRC, without any Planet Quality bonus at the start).

Err.. That 91 is only for colonized planets (Earth can't get the Earthworms/Lifeforce artefact events, and as such is limited to +125% Planet Quality: about class 60).

He's talking about the +15% modifier you can choose from special abilities in the begining. That would of been just too lucky I think.

I had a game yesterday where the Drengin had a class 76 planet. There seems to be a discrepency between what the planet summary screen says for population and what the actual population is. Summary screen is stuck at 100000.

That's nothing...in the first game I played that I actually had a chance of winning three events occured in rapid succession...all in Yor Space...all involved tech that improved PQ on all uncolonized planets in the sector...basically a giant Genesis Effect.

I sent a scout to that sector. There were 15 planets. Lowest quality was a 19 (only 1), highest was a 37. The Yor went from last place to first place in short order and soon there after ground me to dust...

22 billion people on a single planet!! If I ever was faced with invading a planet like that, I'd shell out the bucks for a mass driver or tidal surge attack.

Speaking of, has anyone tried those out yet? What are the exact effects?
