My step-son has Vista on the PC he got for Christmas. It was the first time I really had to look at it and explore it. I have to say, it's nice. Very nice. It takes some getting used to the subtle differences and all, but I could get used to it. lol

I'll say this for it. The parental controls on Vista are great. Many options and ways to customize them. The ability it has to give you a report on the child's activities are great to. I may have to get a new PC with Vista for myself. Next Christmas. :)

Don't let Pugboy scare you with those errors...the copying and moving of files issue was fixed in August.
I do love the 3rd one though.

I really like Vista actually except that it is much slower than XP and that is frustrating.

The third one is the craziest Vista thing. I can override XP's security settings when dual-booting. Vista is OK, and that comic is gross, but in January it was so true. Updates have made it nice to work with, and if anyone EVER switches the 'monitoring' on for me, I'll have to take extreme steps to remove them from the gene pool. Gamers shouldn't switch yet...

Definitely funny comic.  I know several people that would feel like that about Vista.

I'm not sure I find it slower than XP, but then again I've fed my boxes a pretty decent diet of RAM.  On same hardware, I could see it being much slower.

Me, too...;)

The performance issues will be fixed by Moore's Law, just as the performance issues with XP were.

I was there for the 2K vs XP debates, too...
