Technology tree?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I didn't see any sign of it with a quick search.

Anyone put together a listing of the technology tree for Galactic Civ anywhere? I don't see much point in fumbling in the dark for it.

I'm putting the finishing touches to my Tech Tree diagram and hope to make it available in the next few days - assuming I can stop playing the game.

It prints out fine on one page of A4 (even on my crappy dot-matrix printer) and includes all improvements, wonders, and ability enhancements for each tech.

Thanks for the effort! :) The other tech trees I've seen need a plotter to print properly. I could wallpaper my room with them! :d

I wouldn't mind a printable one too, especially if it doesn't use a colored background. I can pull one up with a graphics reader of course, but toggling back and forth isn't the same as just being able to glance at it.

Try downloading the original Excel spreadsheet and printing the tech tree from file directly. I don't have a working printer connected to my computer right now, but it looked promising from the print preview. Please let me know how it turns out. Thanks!

Za H, the xls file is awesome but how can I print it on a single page? this file is breaking down to 36 pages? Is there a way, in Excel, to resize to fit on a single page? :notsure:

It won't be readable on 1 page. I found 4-pages is marginally good enough on a 600dpi laser printer, though the dark squares don't look good. Might be better in color, though I don't know.

When in excel, do a print preview, click setup, and there's an option that lets you scale it to fit however many pages you want. You can then go back to preview and see if you like how it looks.

The basic layout is more or less complete so there's just some tweaking and error checking to do.

I hope to have it finished by the weekend...




...as long as my next game's not in a huge galaxy ;)
