For all those on the alpha testing list, Brad's going to be releasing the Alpha4 build tomorrow. As for those not on the list, I'm not sure if he's planning to add testers at this time. However, you'll be happy to know the Beta will be released pubicly May 1st. It'll include Diplomacy, Trading, new Cutscenes and the beginning steps of the Metaverse (something we'll be needing everyones help on to tweak and make perfect)! We'll keep ya posted.

Remember the saying, "Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it."

Scott,

We keep hearing from Brad "the beta will be available in May". You said May 1. Are you sure?

Cheers,
Jack

Hey, I placed out of a whole semester of college with my AP credits. At Lawrence Tech, that would have been about $5000, give or take a couple of hundred for lab fees, books, etc. Not that it mattered financially, because I had a scholarship that paid for everything except books and lab fees, but that was another semester I didn't have to hang around pretending to look interested when I could have been working here at Stardock, and learning more by working.

Yea... I am learning much more on my own then I do at school by just working on things on my own(Right now I am building a fully automated website for a CS clan I am in). I am taking the AP classes so college will be ALOT cheaper and I can graduate hopefully a year earlier :)

I've added some of you to the alpha list. If I missed you, just respond here. Message board activity is key since we're A) want to get feedback (not so much bug reports but more larger range issues - we're in alpha now so there are tons of very obvious bugs) and B) create a community.

Would it be possibly to receive Beta? I believe GalCiv WILL be the best strategy game ever, and I want to see it ;)

I am also interested in joining the Alpha. I bought my subscription to Drengin in anticipation of this game (not that Corporate Machine was not worth it too). My only question is as to how much time is required. I unfortunately have to take my work home with me a lot of nights, but I am willing to devote my weekends and as much other free time as I can and post frequently ;)

Thanks!

I would be interested in joining the Alpha and definitely the Beta. This game should be one of the best ever. All my friends are really excited about it. :p
