how to use terrorstar?

i have been completed the construction of a terrorstar but i don't know how to use it.I have heard it is useful to destroy a star system but how to use it i click on the starbase and nothing happen.

Move it like a ship, either with the arrows, or right click on the star destination. You can only destroy AI stars.

I already have a terror star, but still don't have the planetary destruction (I think that's the name) tech yet. Do I have to search it first? (I don't want to move it to a hostile sector and then having to wait before attacking -- things are a bit desperate against the Yor

)

If you've built the terorr star already, you can blow up planets. No other tech required.

I believe they have to be undefended however. Make sure you escort it; it's just as vulnerable as any other starbase.

Even if there are ships defending the planet, it's blown up using the Terror Star. All ships are destroyed too. I definitely agree that you need to escort the Star; nothing worse than wasting five constructors and 5000bc on something that gets blown up. And I think the Terror Star never moves faster than 1 square per turn- not 1 sector, so it's REALLY slow.
