Loopholes

I can't help but spot loopholes whenever I read/use a set of rules. I'd like to know if the following would work, just to satisfy my curiousity.
In order to become a saint after initially having been a bit too greedy in the "yay neat bonus kill'em off" department: There's a bunch of class 3 and 4 and what have you planets around. If I built a fleet of colony ships, put 1 mill people in each and went around colonizing these planets, would my always choosing the "Good" events I get on those be a fast lane to goodness?
What if I just picked one planet and colonized it/destroyed the colony/colonized it/etc ad infinitum always picking Good choices?
If I destroy a colony, will it remember the bonus/penalty from the original event next time I colonize it? If not, can't I just keep colonizing it until I get an event I like?
