Cheats?

Did you guys put cheats into this? If you didn't would it be possible to add them? All you'd have to do really is just make sure it never sends cheated games to the Metaverse.

I'm asking because Everyone went to war with me so now I can't possibly win. I know I COULD start a new game, but I had already spent a lot of time in my current game.

I like to be able to cheat in my single player games. Cheating allows me to relax and not get stressed. It also lets me play out more “scenarios” – however improbable. Maybe, I am just a sore looser but I have been always more of a "toys" person - in the sense of Will Wright's games - than a competitive gamer. Computers make my life hard enough at work to have them trump me during leisure times too.

Don’t get me wrong, I am aware that cheating has ruined the fun for many competitive players. It would be great to have some cheating capabilities – such as extra ability points – that are tracted on the metavers or do not affect it.

A possibility of cheats built into the system the disables the ability to upload that game to the Metaverse.
Nice idea, but I think the devs want more people posting on the MV, not less. Good luck getting this one through :)

Pez, play your way out of it. Most new players just refuse to ever give tribute in this game. Not a reality.

Also, try to pick a strong ai race and send freighters to it. (to your maximum) An empire getting 1/3 of its revenue from trade with you thinks twice and three times before going to war.
