Cringe in fear do gooders. The G.R.O.S.S. (Get Rid Of Slimy alienS) empire is now formed. In less than an hour we have jumped 95 other Pacifist Doo Gooder victim empires and lept into 40th out of 135 ranked.

We are an evil empire bent on controlling everything and showing all the other empires out there who's boss. US. Are you listening Euro-"Oh lets let everyone be a senator and give em a vote doo gooder democracy alliance?" We come for you.

For a limited time, (untill I decide otherwise) 5 Pure Evil games, (or just impressing me with your game evilness) submitted will get you a Senatorship. Later, being the evil empire pyramid scheme we are, it will take 10. Of course, being the evil empire we are, that gives you no benefits, no pay, but all the alien carnage you crave most.

Now we do realize that sometimes, you just have to fake being good. You sometimes just have to infiltrate that pacifist party. We understand. But we aren't a kinder gentler empire and don't let their pacifism go to your head. And just sometimes, you gotta let the Aliens live (where else would you find slaves for the heavy metal lava mines?)

In the future, we shall update each other in the empire via this thread, brag of our conquests, drink blood wine, and generally just poke fun (creatively and humorously) at those players whom we find to be too goody goodyish.

Our mottos.

G.R.O.S.S. Where being good is merely a temporary strategy.

I'm sorry, but I can't believe that there are people in the world who don't want to just be kind and show love to everyone. (Although we all agree you can trample those Euro Trash). As a member of the Aussie Empire I just want to give you the Hand of Friendship.


Oh Christopher, we agree. Good luck with your Aussie empire. :) And we here at G.R.O.S.S. show complete love to our fellow humans, even the Euro empire. After all, they are our bretheren and after this is all over, they will be brought under heel as part of the mighty G.R.O.S.S. empire. We hope they all (including you) build us an empire worthy of a G.R.O.S.S. takeover.
We hope they all kick some alien buttoxe. After all, that's what our goal is. Get Rid Of Slimy alienS. We just intend to kick more. :)

But don't expect us to show the Torians any love or mercy. They are not people too.

Well put EB. Christopher that is right. We will show our love by giving you this one time opportunity to join us in G.R.O.S.S. Aussies are welcome too. Especially since you guys down there seem to like your distance swimming. Combined, we could really kick some buttoxe. You could even have your own chapter of G.R.O.S.S. down under.

Update from my own game: Two Major Powers are out. A Terran Surprise Attack took care of the Yor :) , and the Altarians, relentlessly attacked by the Drengin Armada, decided to hand the remnants of their Empire over to the Torians.

Allright, here's a update from my new game:

I was simply astonished on how well everything was placed. Barley any major civs nearby, and there's only a few minors that i see. Other than that, most star systems close enough for me to colonize at least 70% of all yellow stars before i exterminate and take the minor race's yellow stars.

Things are really looking up in this game, seems liek its gonna be a fast burner with another game to post before the weekend ends. :D

Oh congrats. As Mr. Spock would say "Having, is sometimes not so nearly as good a thing as wanting. Illogical, but often true." And we at G.R.O.S.S know that no matter who wins, the aliens will be subjigated or exterminated. That is our goal.
P.S. victory is a transitory thing. The tides of war can turn at any moment.
Who would have thought. A week ago G.R.O.S.S. was nothing. Now, all your hopes rest with beating us.

Uh idle one lil question.

How am I xenophobic when all can join G.R.O.S.S.? How are you not xenophobic when only mid-westerners,are allowed into your empire? Now it seems to me, G.R.O.S.S. is the less Xenophobic of the two empires.

Speaking of Xenophobic, perhaps you can explain how I, your "xenophobic" guide (I prefer the term guide to leader or overlord) of G.R.O.S.S. scored a goody goody cultural win?
Now when you were kidnapped by the Torians (and I don't want to belittle your plight) did they do well you know wierd things to you? Because that would explain alot.

Boy, according to intelligence, G.R.O.S.S. is really on someone's Nerves right now. Lil ole newbie us. It's only a game. It's all about defeating the aliens. We don't have to be bitter rivals. These guys really should lighten up.

Good news. We are now #9!!! EB has found a way to get some good point games in fast. He'll give those that need em some pointers. My games seem to score more given the same difficulty level, but take longer to play. Welcome all new members. My aim (aol) handle is BonkersBruin.

Play. Recruit. Win. Dominate. Go for all the alien carnage you can muster.

Congrats to the mid-Western empire on their 15 minutes of fame reaching #10. You'll be back top 10 soon. I think. Of course, not even #1 will ease the sting of this.

Nice to see we have increased our space on the Galactic Map. Welcome, Icemole!

Short update: About 10 years into the game, Drengins got uppity. So I built a large fleet and joined the Torian war against them. Billions of the ugly, hairy monsters lost their life when I destroyed a large transport convoy. Now a Terran fleet of ~30 spaceships (Frigates, Battlecruisers, Corvettes, Transports) is well on its way to the Drengins` home systems. :)

Update: Captured Drengin Political Capital; made Alliance with Torians; lost half of my offensive capacity in an, err, unfortunate incident; made peace with Drengins for the time being.

Drengins are currently at war with the Arceans; I am building my first Battleships; Torian status: Ally, Arcean status: Warm, Drengin status: Cool; Diplo rating: +140, Cultural Victory status 50%.

I happily join G.R.O.S.S. and boost the only *honest* empire to 9th place!

Only 2 games out of 8 evil... but that's only because I prefer to be "the shadowy power behind the throne". Let someone else take the assassins and public relations hits... Presidents come and go, but I remain!

Favorite tactic.... butter up the minor powers -- until the "defensive" Dreadnoughts "protecting" them turn around and annhiliate all defenders!

Unfortunately, the pansy AIs always "give up" before I can achieve a military or technology victory!

(I tried to be good once... didn't like the flavor, and was embarking on galactic conquest before I could return to my normal evil self...)

Ahh but you guys took 1-2 in the mens 1500. We just don't have anyone willing to take that up and excell at it. And I did think it funny when our boys were over there 3 weeks telling how they were going to crush the aussies and then lost the sprint free relay. Classic. :) Klim (sp?) could use a little work on his air guitar though.

I was just pondering that Surther: Furthermore, the Aussies and Kiwi's have merged and leapfrogged the both of us.
It seems both our empires have the disadvantage of a late start. Our spies have been intercepting your communications. It seems to us you are already nearly converted to our philosophy of Galactic domination. One of your Senators was intercepted pleading with your membership to "Please play evil"

It is no defeat to consider a merger of our great empires. Your current senators would be lateralled over in their position. The rest would have to meet the original requirements for senatorship and be grandfathered in on those requirements.

After all, Just look at what we did alone. Consider what we could also do, together. And combine the #1 and #2 smack talkers on the board. As you consider our offer, listen real close. Hear that sound? That's the sound of Impune whizzing in his drawers at the mere mention of our combination.

We of course would entertain a notion of name change but Get Rid Of Slimy alienS is catchy. And you have to admit you like it too.

Congrats on your metioric improbable rise. It mirrors our own. Think of what we could do combined.
